Tory’s 300 Word New Year’s Eve Writing Contest
Do you have a couple paragraphs in your manuscript where every time you come across them in editing you think, “By George, this is some good writing right here”? Then you should submit them to Tory’s 300 Word New Year’s Eve Writing Contest! The top three entries will be awarded prizes in the form of cash, editorial services, and publication for all the world to enjoy on New Year’s Eve, December 31st, 2020!
This contest is free to enter and the first in what I hope will become a long-standing annual tradition. Read on for contest rules, prize details, and how to submit your entry.
What is Tory’s 300 Word New Year’s Eve Writing Contest?
This contest is as simple as they come. Your job is to write, or copy from your unpublished manuscript, 300 words of the most compelling fictional narrative you can bring to the table, and submit no later than December 10th, 2020.
Your entry can be a description of a setting, dialogue between two characters, nothing but car chases and explosions–or all those things combined! This contest is open to all genres and there is no theme. Happy, sad, suspenseful, slow-burning, scary, sexy, or sinister–I want whatever you’ve got.
The only requirement is to make me wish there were more to read!
Binding Blood Oath Agreement
By entering this contest, you agree to the following:
